Established in 1964 at Kircheim under Teck, the company, which now has its headquarters in Beuren, started out as a winder and repair work-shop for electric motors. It was the idea of a roller shutter maker and an electrician to replace the roller shutter belt with a motor and substitute mechanical operation for the press of a button.
This was the origin of the company's name: elero - electrical roller. |

The company underwent rapid expansion in the years that followed and, in 1980, became part of Günther Group. Today, elero offers a wide range of electrical drives and control systems for venetian blinds, awnings, roller shutters and folding shutters, as well as for rolling doors, sectional doors and for interior shading systems. It is not without good reason that elero today has earned the title of global player. With 2 production plants, 10 subsidiaries, 15 exclusive sales partners and a staff of over 500 elero operates from an international platform and will continue to expand its presence on the world stage. |
